Among the arsenal of techniques available to trial lawyers, “Story Telling” is an effective and persuasive cross-examination method that can strengthen a case theory, said Jesus Romero, general director of P.A.C.C.J.O. (Profesionales Asociados en Consejería y Capacitación en Juicios Orales).
During a conference “Cross-X: Only Way to Win at Trial” hosted by the Binational Bar Association (BBA), Romero spoke to attorneys and law professors in Mexico assuring that cross-examination through “story telling” is a very effective tool used frequently by seasoned trial lawyers. Proper use of this technique elevates the chances of winning an otherwise challenging case.
Romero advised fresh trial lawyers to practice this technique constantly, whether in actual trials or through special workshops, until complete mastery.
